A Terrifying Ordeal

In the audience, Kyra sobs openly on her mother's shoulder. Dr. Phil walks down from the stage and sits in front of the teen to comfort her.

"I know this is hard for you, but I want to tell you how proud I am that you have the courage to come and talk about this, because there are millions and millions of people, parents and teens who are watching this right now, and I want them to understand " I want Zoe to understand " how badly this can go," Dr. Phil says. "Do you think she's in danger?"

Kyra nods, unable to speak.

"What do you think about hearing her story and what's she's doing?"

"That they could easily find her over her phone," Kyra begins. Then she dissolves into tears, burying her face in her mother's shoulder.

"What kind of interaction were you expecting when you went to meet this person?" Dr. Phil asks.

"He said that we were going to go and talk and hang out," the teen answers. "So I did, and then I found out that he was a predator."
