(Original Air Date: 11/18/05) Too many of us have that one family member whose rude, crude, obnoxious behavior gets under our skin and annoys us to death. Krista and Kim are sisters married to two brothers who they say are the most annoying husbands on the planet! They talk loudly, make inappropriate sexual comments and take pride in their bodily functions. See what happens when Dr. Phil turns the tables, and these guys get a taste of their own medicine. Then, Becky's daughter and sister say she has a mouth like a sailor and is always embarrassing them. Becky says she's just opinionated, honest and blunt. Will Becky learn to see their point of view and clean up her act? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

shower pee-ing

These chicks really complained about nothing.

I know some people find it gross or whatever (which is why, I guess, I'm asking), but what is the big deal about peeing in the shower?  It comes out and goes down the drain, simple as that.  It's not like taking a number 2 (now, that would be gross)!  By the time you're done, you're clean with no pee on you (and pee is sterile anyway).

On another, but semi-related note: women who want the toilet seat down--put it down yourself!  Why should I have to put it up for my use and then have to put it down for yours?  [Most common answer--so they don't "fall" into the toilet]  Why do I have to perform two moves and them none?!   How 'bout this: you're so afraid of falling in--put it DOWN before you sit!!  I love my wife like crazy and I treat her like a queen most of the time, but I'm not going to arrange the toilet seat just the way she likes it.  Maybe I'll cut her steak in 30 years when she has arthritis, but for now she's a big girl.

Can you imagine the flak guys would get if we (guys) told them they had to leave it up?!

06/02 "My Annoying Family"

Quote From: bunnyshay

I am in my 70's and was recently diagnosed with HepC and I am in the second of 4 stages of damage to my liver.  My daughter is upset since I have gained some weight and due to arthritis and the fact I need to work to survive with just Social Security.   I was married for 30 years and divorced painfully 22 years ago.  I did not wish to spend Easter with my FB (former Beloved) and his girl friend who used to work for us.  They never married.  They were the guests as well as my granddaughter and her husband.  Three couples and me.  I chose to go to church and enjoy the Risen Savior by myself.  This bothered my daughter, she did not go to brunch with the other kids on Mother's day.  I did not mind I had a great time anyway.  I have a problem being with my oldest daughter.  She throws verbal darts that hurt.   I have tried to explain the hurt feelings I get with them without any results.  I tried to ignore them and not react.  They only got worse.  Mother's Day evening I received a phone call from her asking how the brunch went.  I told her fine, I had a good time.  She then related that she heard the reason I did not come to her house for Easter was due to her father and his gf.  I told her it was only one of the reasons, I truly wanted to spend Easter with God.   She told me she felt I was dead to her and I was shocked.  She said that due to the fact I was in such pain all the time and I don't go anywhere, she considers me dead.  I told her I had a good time with the others at lunch, and I listed other times I enjoyed.  I told her I would like to go to the casino and she told me "You are only interested in money".  I work part time through the state. I do not know how long that will be available.  Something you mentioned on your show about people telling the truth and being abusive with it hit me.  I can't rember the term about being outspoken and out of line with  words. That is what I deal with with her.  She excuses her blunt rudeness with "I am only telling the truth".  The truth she tells is her version.  I would like you to explain the difference of telling the truth and hurting people with words.  Many thanks.  I always find something on your show that I find useful even though my kids are grown and gone.  Flo

You sound like a beautiful, loving person who needs to be told so. Your daughter seems to be completely ignorant to what you say. She only hears what she wants to, and then becomes angry over what she heard. You did not give her age, but apparently she still has a lot of growing up to do. Please don't let my words offend you, that is not my intention. I only want you to realize that she is the one with the problems, not you. It's not your fault, and please don't just say, "Okay, I agree." It is not your fault. I sincerely hope that you're heard by Dr. Phil, as I am certain he will be able to remove your daughter from this illusion in which you are a "dead" mother, and bring her to reality where you are a brilliant person who deserves to be respected. I hope that what I say is helpful, and sincerely wish you the best that life can give.

You are right!!!

I could be wrong but I think the 2nd guest was displaying her annoying behavior partly because she doesn't want to be associated with the "bible-thumping" behavior of her sisters.  She wants to stand out in a crowd so that no one will think she's a member of the "holier-than -thou"  group.    .  People who push their religion into your face and act like they are superior are also annoying!

I had a bible-thumping ex-boyfriend who was in your face.  One time in a store he went though the register and told the sales clerk that his father owned the stored.  She acted surprise, smiled and said something like "really".  Then he said, " Yes My father the Lord owns everything!".  He thought he was funny.  She looked at him like a weirdo.  On amusement park rides he Yell , "Hallelujah."  And would complain about service at stores and restaurants and then tell the management how they should come to his church.

This same guy lied to me about his finances and gave me a fake diamond ring.  Real christian there.
