I appreciate Dr. Phil's attempt to help this woman, but I think this situation is beyond help.  As a paralegal with a family law specialist, I see how Child Services abuses its power daily.  In this instance, however, I believe this agency needs to interject itself into this situation.  These children are at great risk, and I truly feel that ALL of Nadya's children should be removed from her custody and ultimately placed for adoption.  They don't stand a chance.  It's just a matter of time until Child Services does just that.

One question however.  Why isn't the bio-dad paying for these kids?  He allowed this situation to happen.  Also, I believe that the doctor who caused this mess should be paying for the kids.  When is he going to be prosecuted for his part in this?

premies and neonatal nurses

I have worked and been exposed to neonatal nurses. They are a bit crazy when it comes to protecting their charges. BUT that is what keeps the babies alive and thriving! Yes Linda seemed really angry, but if she truly believes that the babies are in danger and this was her last best hope to bring it to someones attention I can't blame her for being charged. As for Nadia feeling like she wasn't  charge, as a mom I would bow to the professionals and let them do what they need to... Remember the NANNIES had to be trained..which means child care professionals did not know how to handle this special situation. A friend of mine brought her son home after being in the neonate unit for 9 months, He weighed a little over 8 lbs. He was cleared by the staff to go home. He died 2 weeks later. That was only one baby to look out for. These babies are at risk. If Mom (Nadia) knew what it takes to keep the babies safe, reporters  would have never stepped foot in that house! Like Dr. Phil says, no child should be born with a job and these babies have been. Looks to me as if Mom is going to be selling their lives to the highest bidder.  May God help them.

Proud of my money lessons

I am very proud of my 25 year old son. I taught him about credit cards and saving when he first started working at 16. At 20 he bought a brand new Honda Accord with me co-signing and he paid it off in three years then he bought his first house. A lovely 3 bedroom brick house on the golf course and he is on his way to paying that off early too. He has already re-financed once. Hopefully he can do it again. I also got him to start an IRA account. He has learned much and has a lot of common sense.  I am very proud of him and myself.

I don't agree with Naudia Suleman and her choice to have more children but what really pisses me off is what about all the other people who chose to have 5-6 kids at once and had other kids at home? Like Jon and Kate who had twins and then had 5 more. Did Children's services go in and investigate their home and their care plan prior to releasing their babies? There is also a British couple that had 2 sets of quads within 2 years, they were released without being investigated as well. I think she is being punished because she is a single mom. Married couples having multiples never get the kind of criticism she has. On another note let's talk about Gloria Alred I have known of her long enough to know she doesn't do anything unless it benefits her in some way. She loves being right in the middle of high profile cases. I think Angels in waiting needed to get the word out about there services and what a great way to do that. Free advertisement and donations as well. I think that was the entire motive for them "volunteering" their services. That's why Gloria Alred filed a claim with childrens services before she even knew what kind of care those kids would receive. To insure an investigation would be done prior to release so she could move in for the center of attention. Once again also putting her right in the middle of another high profile case. They killed 2 birds with one stone.  Kendra Parker, Ft. Campbell KY

Poor Nadia

I'm so sick of Gloria and her harassment of this lady!  Angels in waiting and their BS as well! What happens to anyone if you're employed by someone and report them to officials regarding frivolous complaints? or anything in general? You lose trust and your job! These people need to take a break and allow this woman to mother HER kids!

I am in Australia, and had never heard of Salvia.  I am actually quite angry at Dr Phil, for documenting this legal drug.  As the mother of 2 yound boys, i found it irresponsible to broadcast this drug, which is unheard of in my region of Australia.  I am now aware of people who are looking for this drug, and wish to experiment with it, all because they saw the episode on Dr Phil.  I would be really angry if they came across it and starting using it as a result of that episode.

No good deed goes unpunished

I have never felt compelled in my life to voice my opinion on a message board until now.  First I would like to say to Dr. Phil, I'm so happy you stepped in to help the 14 children of Nadya Suleman.  It is a huge issue that needed to be addressed and there couldn't be a better mediator for the job.  It’s been a headache to watch the arguments from both sides and I can only imagine that Dr. Phil has asked himself “Why did I get involved?”.  We all know it’s for the children, but no good deed goes unpunished.  Helping these beautiful children comes with all the obstacles of the adult right fighters.  Oh my goodness.

I have TiVo and just watched 3 Dr. Phil episodes in a row regarding Nadya and her children and the care they need, ect...  So I am behind the media and the story, but wanted to voice an opinion.  I have to say that Gloria Allred did a horrible job representing herself and the people from Angel's in Waiting.  She made me feel sorry for Nadya.  It seemed quite obvious to me that she and the women from Angel's in Waiting were only out for a witch hunt and publicity.  I do not agree with Nadya's decision to have so many children as a single mother and I don't think there is any sane person on the planet that agrees with that decision, but it's too late to dwell on the shoulda woulda coulda.  Gloria Allred was extremely fake and it is such a joke that she pretends to care about these babies.  If she cared she would respect the fact that Nadya is the mother and admit that Angel's in Waiting, although good intentioned, was an intrusion...only criticizing Nadya and continuing to put her down even after they are no longer involved is not doing anyone any good.  It's obvious they feel sorry for themselves and someone needs to tell them it's not about them, they need to move on.  Professional's should know that if step in and make a mother feel that you are trying to take over rather than help any mother will push you right out the door.  I would be fearful at this point to hear of anyone who receives help from Angel's in Waiting.  I hope they realize how they come off as high school children trying to be right rather than taking a step back and admitting they could have done a better job at being respectful of the mother of the 14 children they so kindly offered to help take care of.  I truly believe they owe Nadya an apology for how they handled themselves and the situation.  I am appalled at how they come off as victims in this situation.  Gloria needs to stop talking about it and accept that she is no longer welcome in the conversation.  That’s my .02 J

gastric hell

The creator's plan for the human body was pretty darned good, and I don't know why physicians think that gastric bypass is an improvement.  It ruins the digestion, and there is little or no discussion about long term success.  I had a stomach staple in 1980.  I was fairly bullied into it, and I wish I had died in my cradle before I endured that.  I have little trouble with simple carbs, but good fruits and veggies are very hard for me to digest.

I was over 200 pounds when I had it, and I'm over 300 pounds now.  I've heard doctors and others blame the failure on the patient.  It simply doesn't work in the long term.  If my weight kills me, I would rather have died without staples.  I think my early problem came from my family's poverty, and now all the money in the world can't make good broccoli go down easily.

Please don't advocate this evil for anyone.

                                                              Love y'all anyway, Sharon

Anne Colter and Alan Colmes?

I know this is a little late but I just got internet service.Actually the subject of that show eludes me at the moment but I couldn't watch for very long anyways. My feelings are that in a debate both sides should be represented and choosing the whipping boy from Fox( I hate to even call it this) news is well far from fair and balanced.Well in your defence Ray Bolger is dead. The cherry on top was Dr.Phils' comment that Social security is a ponzi scheme. The good Doctor would do well to stick with his ambulance chashing as it is much more interesting. If you do attemt another show along these lines try getting Tom Hartman,Rachael Maddow or Amy Goodman.
